Yes yes, I know I posted a library un-haul last week… but I just cannot go past a second hand book sale and I definitely cannot come out empty handed.
I did show some restraint and only spent $27. I also did put some books back, deciding that no, I did not need another copy of Red Dragon which is one of my favourite books. And no, I did not need the second book in a series that I’m planning to read but might not enjoy and therefore never read the second book.
So, here is what I ended up getting!

Temple by Matthew Reilly
I already have this book (and all of his others) but I inherited my copy from my dad…which is falling apart. I really want to reread it so I decided to pick up a cheap copy so I don’t have to worry about any pages falling out!

Arrival by Ted Chiang
This is one of my favourite movies, along with another space themed science fiction Interstellar. I’m always looking to read the books that the movies are inspired by so I am excited to read this.

2312 by Kim Stanley Robinson
I am in a science fiction mood at the moment and have seen this book floating around on blogs and Goodread. So, of course I bought it!

Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne
I have always wanted to read something written by Jules Verne. So when I saw this on the classic table I thought, what better place to start than this classic?

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
Another book that I already own, but only in paperback. The most recent Dan Brown books are all in Hardback so I am always on the lookout for other hardback editions of his earlier books.

Vicious by V.E. Schwab
While I am not the biggest fan of A Darker Shade of Magic I still want to give some of her other books a go. And for $2 I don’t see a reason not too!

The Power by Naomi Alderman
This book is so highly praised every where and I’ve been excited to finally read it…once I could get it out of the library. Luckily I do not have to wait anymore as I managed to my own copy.

I am pretty happy with my haul, but also the restraint I showed as I was somewhat selective with what I walked out with. Let me know if you have ready any of these or have any suggestions on what I should read next!
Such a great haul, I read and enjoyed Angels and Demons. I have seen The Power around and it seems really interesting.
